The Floor Is a Ledger
I have spent three decades ensuring that every dollar on the gaming floor can be accounted for, traced, and reconciled. The casino is not a place of chaos — it is one of the most rigorously controlled environments in commercial enterprise. Every chip issued, every drop counted, every variance logged creates an audit trail that must hold under scrutiny.
The discipline required to run a compliant floor is the same discipline I apply to my model railroad layouts: precision, patience, and respect for the system. A misplaced switch on the O-gauge layout causes a derailment at 3 AM. An unlogged $2 variance in the cage creates an exception report that cascades through three departments before morning shift.

What I Build Here
This site documents operational procedures, woodworking calculations, and the philosophy behind precision work. Each page is a working document — not a portfolio piece.
Variance Protocol
The complete procedure for logging, investigating, and resolving floor variances above the $2.00 threshold.
Joint Stress Calculator
NDS Douglas Fir constants applied to mortise-and-tenon, dovetail, and box joints. Source published on 4ort.dev.
Film Channel
Short documentaries on operational discipline — coming soon to albert-karaca.4ort.mov
Cage Reconciliation Guide
Shift-end procedures for table game dealers and cage supervisors — in progress.
